Walter Elmer Lee, 82, passed away on November 23, 2016 in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He was born on October 31, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Otis O. and Lula Lorena (Jordan) Lee. At a young age, Walter became an amateur boxer. Years later, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years of dedicated service, and retired from FAA after 36 years.

He married the love of his life, Peggy Mathes Northern on August 23, 2013. Walter had many talents; he was an excellent country and waltz dancer; who enjoyed working...

Walter Elmer Lee, 82, passed away on November 23, 2016 in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He was born on October 31, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Otis O. and Lula Lorena (Jordan) Lee. At a young age, Walter became an amateur boxer. Years later, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years of dedicated service, and retired from FAA after 36 years.

He married the love of his life, Peggy Mathes Northern on August 23, 2013. Walter had many talents; he was an excellent country and waltz dancer; who enjoyed working in the yard, repairing cars, and playing senior softball. His most notable accomplishment was running a 26.2 K marathon at the age of 50.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 57 years, Glenna Talley Lee; son, Carl W. Lee; six brothers; a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; daughters and their spouses, Cathy Scheirman (Joe), Carol VanStavern (Rod),
Terri Cunningham ( Les), Joni Roe (Mike); Sisters, Stella Odom, Mickie Lemme, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
